Integration Between VEP NG9-1-1 GIS Data and DATAMARK Technologies Core Service Solutions (Premium Feature)
Location Validation Function (LVF) Discrepancy Manager and Viewer (E, V)
In the Utilities Module and the web map, VEP users with access to this premium feature can review discrepancies reported by the DATAMARK Technologies Location Database (LDB). The data updates in real-time whenever the page is loaded or refreshed. This integration enables VEP users to view their LVF discrepancies directly within the VEP platform, allowing them to focus their data remediation efforts and correct any identified issues.
Emergency Call Routing Function (ECRF) Critical Checks Download (E, V)
In the Validate Module, users with access to this premium feature can download the DATAMARK Technologies ECRF critical check anomalies. Data from VEP is automatically sent for a series of checks designed to prevent erroneous data from being provisioned to the ECRF. The results of these checks are returned to VEP and can be downloaded directly within the platform.
To learn more about this premium feature, contact your Client Success Manager or submit a ticket in the Support Center.
MSAG Generator (Premium Feature)
Updates to MSAG Generator (E, V, A, S)
When the Road Centerline has a range of 0-0 on one side and a valid range on the other, the valid ranges will be included in the GIS-derived MSAG. This enhancement means that bifurcated highways or dual carriageways will be included in the GIS MSAG if there is a valid range on at least one side of the Road Centerline.
Validations
NENA Domain Validations (E, V, S)
A new set of validations has been introduced to VEP. The NENA Domain Validations include 16 new checks that compare data in specific fields against NENA domain values. These validations ensure that the values match those specified in the NENA domain, are case-sensitive, and do not flag NULL values but will flag empty or blank values. The fields that will be validated include both Address Points and Road Centerlines, specifically: st_postyp, st_predir, st_posdir, st_presep, country, state, and parity.
Please see the Knowledge Base article for more information about these new validations.
Match Incorporated Municipality and Unincorporated Municipality Values in the RCL Address Range Overlap Validations (E, V, A, S)
The RCL Address Range Overlap Validation (VAL06-1, VAL06-2, VAL06-3, and VAL06-4) logic has been improved to directly compare the Incorporated Municipality and Unincorporated Community values between two Road Centerlines on each side, even if these values are NULL or marked as unincorporated. Previously, if either the 'incmuni_l' or 'incmuni_r' field was NULL or labeled as "unincorporated" for one of the Road Centerlines, the validation would compare the corresponding 'uninccom_l' or 'uninccom_r' fields instead. This updated process ensures a direct one-to-one comparison between the Road Centerline fields. Additionally, values containing spaces will now be preserved in the comparisons (e.g., "NORTHPORT" vs. "NORTH PORT").
Validation Bug Fix
Updates to the RCL Address Range Overlap Logic (E, V, A, S)
Logic has been updated to accurately detect when a right range overlaps a left range (VAL06-2) and when a left range overlaps a right range (VAL06-3). This update has also been implemented in the cross-jurisdictional RCL range overlap logic (VAL63).
Populated External_nguid Values for RCL Does Not Break at Provisioning Boundary in the Cross-Jurisdictional Validations (E, V, A, S)
In the Cross-Jurisdictional Validations, the snap point anomalies for the RCL that do not break at the provisioning boundary (VAL61-1) will have the external_nguid value populated.
Bug Fix
Feature Datasets Allowing NULL Geometries to be Uploaded into VEP (E, V, S)
This update ensures that data that is uploaded as a feature dataset into VEP will now allow any NULL geometries to be uploaded. These NULL geometries will be caught in the verify step and rejected.
