Create New Address Points | Edit Existing Address Points | Edit Related Table Records | Delete Address Points
The following editing tools are available for modifying address points in VEP Verify:

Create New Address Points
Use the Create New Feature or Create Address Assignment tools to create new address points.
Select the Create New Feature tool.
Click a point on the map to place the address point.
The Copy Feature Confirmation window will appear. This tool allows the address point to inherit attributes from another layer but its use is optional.
Administrators can add additional copy feature configurations if needed. The following fields and options allow users to leverage nearby feature classes when placing their address points.
Copy Attributes: Select the checkbox to apply attributes from another layer to the newly created address point.
If you do not want to copy attributes, uncheck the box and press OK.
Choose Layer: Select the layer to copy the attributes from; the default layer is Centerline.
Choose Tolerance: Select the tolerance used to search for features specified in the Choose Layer step.
Choose Feature: Select the feature to copy attributes from to apply to the newly created address point.
Use the Add button to copy feature attributes from the Choose Layer drop-down and populate these in the Layer and Feature table below.
Use the Delete button to manage the attributes added to the Layer and Feature table list.
Press OK to close the pop-up and apply the attributes to the newly created address point.
Navigate to the Feature Attributes section of the Edit tool.
Fill out the necessary fields.
Administrators manage these fields – whether they are editable or populated with default values. Contact your administrator to modify these configurations via the Layer Configuration > Fields admin page.
Long/Lat: This field is auto-populated by VEP.
External_nguid: This field is auto-populated by VEP. This ID field is used to identify the feature and to join the feature to related tables.
Full Road Name: this field is auto-populated by VEP by concatenating the street attributes into one field.
Press Save, at the bottom of the Edit tool, to apply the attribute edits.
To add values to a Related table, click on a related table at the bottom of the Edit Tool.
Fill out the necessary fields.
Press Save, at the bottom of the Edit tool, to apply the attribute edits.
Edit Existing Address Points
Use the Select By tool to select an individual address point or a group of address points.
Tap the Select By tool.
Optionally, choose a Select Option from rectangle, lasso, or polygon. The rectangle is selected by default.
If needed, select Clear Selection to clear the selected features.
Draw a polygon with the Select By tool by touching the screen and sliding a finger to adjust the size and shape of the polygon. Encompass the area with the address points to be selected.
Let go to complete the polygon. Selected address points will be highlighted in red.
To modify the attributes of the address points(s), use the Choose feature to edit drop-down to specify the points to modify.
Individual features can be selected, or multiple records can be selected to mass-edit the attributes, using the All Records option from the drop-down.
Once an individual address point is selected from the group, it will appear with a green dot in the center. Now tabular edits in the Feature Attributes for the address point can be made.
Make the necessary edits to the values in the fields in the Feature Attributes section.
To make geometry edits to the selected group of address points on the map, touch and drag them to the desired location.
When finished, press Save at the bottom of the Edit tool
Edit Related Table Records
To add values to the related table, click on a related table at the bottom of the Edit Tool.
Fill out the necessary fields.
Press Save, at the bottom of the Edit tool, to apply the attribute edits.
Once completed with all editing, submit the edit session.
Delete Address Points
Use the Delete tool to permanently delete a single address point or multiple address points.
Select the Select By tool.
Select an individual address point or a group of address points with the Select By tool.
Selected address point(s) will be highlighted in red.
Select the Delete tool.
A confirmation pop-up will display asking if you are sure you want to delete the feature(s).
Select OK to proceed with the deletion or Cancel to cancel the delete.
Once completed with all editing, submit the edit session.
