Review Tool Overview
The review tool allows Administrators and Editors to review rejected edit sessions and validation anomalies.
1. Select the Review Tool from the widget toolbar
2. Select a tab:
Edit Assignments - Review edit sessions rejected by Administrators.
Validation Anomalies - Review validation results and manage anomaly exceptions
3. Use the filter and review tools to review edit session or validation results.
Zoom: Click the magnifying glass icon to zoom to the selected feature.
Details: Click the table icon to minimize the Review tool and review the attributes and related tables of the selected feature on the map.
External NGUID: Shows the unique record identifier for the feature.
Edit Assignments Review
Use the Edit Assignments tab to review sessions that have been rejected by an Administrator:
1. Choose Editor Submission: Select the edit session from the dropdown.
2. Filter By:
Feature - Filter features by Feature Class.
Status - Filter features by approval status.
3. Edit Assignment table fields:
Type:
Add - New features
Update - Features that had attribute changes or were updated spatially
Delete: Deleted features
Edit Actions: Shows the type of edit applied to the feature.
Feature: Displays the Feature Class of the feature.
Comments: Use this field to add comments for the Editor to view if the feature is rejected.
Created By: Shows the name of the VEP user who submitted the edit session or upload.
Status: Click in the field to change the review status of the selected feature using the drop-down.
Note: After reviewing the rejected edit session, open the Edit tool to make the necessary corrections. The rejected edit session will be placed into the Choose Edit Session drop-down with (Rejected) appended.
Validation Anomalies Review
Use the Validation Anomalies tab to review and modify validation anomalies:
1. Configure the search parameters and click Search to generate a list of anomalies.
Type - Filter anomalies by Feature Class or Table.
Validation Date - Filter anomalies by a validation run date.
Exception - Filter anomalies by exception status.
2. Add an optional filter:
Validation - Filter anomalies by a specific validation.
3. Validations Anomalies Tables fields:
Class - Displays the Feature Class of the anomaly.
Validation - Shows the validation name.
Description - A specific description of the validation.
Date Created - Date that the anomaly was generated.
Exception - Check this box if the anomaly is not a true error and it will be ignored on future validation runs.
Status - Add a comment regarding the status of this anomaly.
Justification - Add a justification for the Exception status.
Comments - Add comments to the anomaly.
4. Click Save Changes before navigating to a new page or closing the widget to retain edits.
Quick Tip: Anomalies are displayed by map extent. If you aren’t finding an anomaly that you are looking for, try changing the map extent to the area you want to review.
