Making mass edits to a Related Table requires editing in your local environment and uploading the edits into your VEP data. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Initiate a download of your VEP data. Go to Downloads > Standard Download
2. Choose whether you would like to download the NENA Schema, Native Schema, or Full VEP download. Select File Geodatabase as your File Type. Ensure you do not check 'Exclude Related Table(s)' when configuring your download. Then click Download.

3. When the download completes in the Download Requests screen, click the download icon in the Action column.

4. Open the download in your local environment and make edits to the desired Related Table.

5. Save your edits and close the editing application.

6. Zip the geodatabase directly.

7. In VEP, navigate to Uploads > Upload Data and select a Data upload type with the newly zipped Geodatabase. Choose Geodatabase as your File Type. Click Next.

8. In the Data Mapping page, uploading a Feature Class is not necessary if you only upload the Related Table. Click Next.

9. If you chose to upload a Feature Class, you will go to the Field Mapping page. Field map your Feature Class as you would usually. Click Next.

10. If you didn't upload a Feature Class, you will go directly to the Tables page. From here, check the box for the Related Table you have edited in your local environment and are looking to reupload. Click Next.

11. In the Relationship Mapping page, you are going to configure what Feature Class the Related Table has a relationship with. Then, map the ID field in your Related Table to the VEP external_nguid - it may be external_nguid for both unless you have a differing ID name for your Related Table. Choose which Relationship Type the table and feature class will contain. Then, click Next.

12. If you are uploading the Feature Class and its associates Related Table, select the same Upload Policy for the Feature Class as you choose for the Related Table. Append Edits & Adds would be the best policy if you only edited parts of the Related Table and Feature Class and you did not delete any records or features. Apply All Edits, Adds & Deletes is the best policy if any records or features have been deleted or if the entire table or Feature Class has been edited.
If there was a Feature Class in your upload file but do not need to upload it, you can choose Do Not Upload as the policy for the Feature Class.
If you only uploaded the Related Table but did not upload a Feature Class, choose your Upload Policy for the Related Table (see descriptions of best practices above) and click Upload.

13. After the Upload is in the Pending status, the upload will go through the expected approval process by the Admin. The Related Table will refresh overnight after the upload is approved. If the table needs to be refreshed prior to overnight, the table can be manually refreshed by going to Uploads > Upload Requests > Service Refresh Details tab and selecting the Refresh button.

As a reminder, all users would need to refresh their map immediately after the Service Refresh if a manual refresh is selected. This could disrupt editing and other VEP workflows. Please coordinate with other VEP users if this option is selected.
