Creating a Map Print
1. To print the current map extent, select the Print tool
2. Configure the following Print Settings:
Map Title: Choose a title for the map.
Layout: Choose a size layout.
Format: Choose a file format (EPS, GIF, PDF, JPG, PNG32, PNG8, SVG, or SVGZ).
Basemap: Choose whether to include a basemap in the printed map.
Advanced: Optional advanced print properties. See full list below.
3. Click the Print button.
An image of the map will be stored in the print list above the Clear prints button.
4. Select the created map file to open it in a new tab.
Print or Save the map file.
5. Click on the Clear prints button to remove all files stored within the print list.
Did you know? Annotations made with the Draw Tool will show up on map prints.
Advanced Print Settings
Click Advanced to access and configure the following print settings:
Preserve:
Map scale
Map extent
Force scale
Layout metadata:
Author - Add author information.
Copyright - Include copyright information.
Include Legend - Uncheck to remove Legend
Scale bar units - Miles, kilometers, meters, and feet.
MAP_ONLY size:
Alter the pixel width and height of the map print.
Print quality:
Configure DPI of print.
