According to NENA recommendations, MSAG and GIS data, in addition to ALI and GIS data should have a 98% match rate. This custom generated report allows users to compare MSAG and ALI with GIS data for standardization and synchronization purposes.

This custom report consists of the following tabs:

1. NENA Summary

2. NENA Details

3. NENA Summary (Multi-Juris)*

4. NENA Details (Multi-Juris) *

*Available in multi-jurisdiction user reports only.

NENA Summary

This tab contains the following columns (highlighted in red in the above image):

  • Jurisdiction - The county name or the name of the jurisdiction as shown in VEP.
  • # AP Features - Current number of Address Points in VEP.
  • # RCL Features - Current number of Road Centerlines in VEP.
  • # ALI Records - Current number of ALI records in VEP.
  • # MSAG Records - Current number of MSAG records in VEP.
  • MSAG no GIS - The total number of MSAG records that do not have a matching Road Centerline.
    • For the specific validation checks that VEP uses to determine the number in this column, see MSAG no GIS in the Validations table below. These validations will point users to anomalies in their data that need to be addressed to reduce the number of entries in this column.
  • GIS no MSAG - The total number of Road Centerlines that do not have a matching MSAG record.
    • For the specific validation checks that VEP uses to determine the number in this column, see GIS no MSAG in the Validations table below. These validations will point users to anomalies in their data that need to be addressed to reduce the number of entries in this column.
  • MSAG to RCL % Match - The current match rate between the MSAG and Road Centerlines.
    • This percentage is determined by the total number in the GIS no MSAG column plus the MSAG no GIS column compared to the # RCL Features
  • ALI no GIS - The total number of ALI records that do not have a matching Road Centerline and/or Address Point.
    • For the specific validation checks that VEP uses to determine the number in this column, see ALI no GIS in the Validations table below. These validations will point users to anomalies in their data that need to be addressed to reduce the number of entries in this column.
  • ALI to RCL % Match - The current match rate between the ALI and Road Centerlines.
    • This percentage is determined by the total number in the ALI no GIS column compared to the # RCL Features
  • ALI to AP % Match - The current match rate between the ALI and Address Points.
    • This percentage is determined by the total number in the ALI no GIS column compared to the # AP Features

Note: Each unique external_nguid is only counted once even if it is flagged for multiple anomalies in these metrics.

NENA Details

This tab allows users to compare the results of the past 10 validation runs in a particular jurisdiction, the compliancy numbers for each run and contains the following columns:

  • History - This column shows the date of each validation run.
  • Jurisdiction
  • # AP Features
  • # RCL Features
  • # ALI Records
  • # MSAG Records
  • MSAG no GIS
  • GIS no MSAG
  • MSAG to RCL % Match
  • ALI no GIS
  • ALI to RCL % Match
  • ALI to AP % Match
  • 98% NENA Compliancy Graph - This graph shows changes in match percentages between report dates. There are different colored lines for MSAG to RCL % Match (Blue), ALI to RCL % Match (Red), and ALI to AP % Match (Green).

If there is a ‘N/A’ in the table, this means there was a validation run, but the MSAG and/or ALI validations weren’t selected/run.

NENA Summary (Multi-Juris)

Users in a collaboration will see this additional tab in their download. This tab allows multi-jurisdiction users to compare compliance metrics between jurisdictions through the following columns/rows:

  • Collaboration - The name of the group to which the jurisdictions belong to.
