Standard Download Overview | View Download Requests


Downloads will contain all tables and feature classes imported into DATAMARK VEP. Additionally, the download will include the markup feature classes/tables.

Standard Download Overview

1. Click on the Downloads link on the left navigation panel of the menu.

2. Select Standard Download

3. Configure the following download settings:


Download File Name - A file name will be auto-populated with a unique ID, and the date will be appended to the end. The user can change this.


Note: The Download File Name only supports special characters #, _, and -. Special characters may not be used at the start of the name. File names have a character limit of 50. 



Schema Type - Select a schema option to apply to the download.

NENA Version 1: The schema formatted in Version 1 of the NG9-1-1 GIS Data Model published by NENA (the National Emergency Number Association). NENA schema downloads will download in WGS 1984 Web Mercator projection.


NENA Version 2: The schema formatted in the latest NG9-1-1 GIS Data Model published by NENA (the National Emergency Number Association). NENA schema downloads will download in WGS 1984 Web Mercator projection.


Native Schema: One of several possible schemas saved during the upload process.

  • Use the Schema drop-down to select a previously saved schema. For more information on saving Native Schemas, see Understanding Schemas.
  • Native schema downloads will be in the jurisdiction's native projection.
  • Related tables saved in the schema will be rejoined to the feature classes they are related to based on the external_nguid field for a one-to-one relationship.
  • Schema field data types (i.e. integer, text, etc.) will also be returned in their native format upon download.


Full VEP Download: A full VEP download that includes everything in the NENA data model, the Detached Editing Boundary, Markups, Observations, and the last Validation results.


Type - Select the file format for the download.

  • Two separate folders will be created, one with the GIS data and another with the GIS validation results.
  • If the dataset is larger than 2GB, download the file as a geodatabase.


  1. Optional - Additional download configurations. Click to expand options and use the checkboxes to select the following settings:

Exclude Related Table(s): There will be no related tables included in the download.

Exclude Empty Feature Classes: Feature class(es) that do not contain features will not be included in the download.

Filter features by Detached Editing Boundary: From the drop-down, select the detached editing session to be edited offline. This will also include the validation results feature classes and tables for the given Detached Editing boundary.


4. Click the Download button.


A pop-up will confirm the download request was submitted and the user will be automatically redirected to the View Downloads Request page.

Note: For Geofenced VEP instances, users assigned to a specific geofence boundary will only receive GIS data for their respective boundary when executing any NENA or Native Schema download. Geofenced users may download all the datasets with the Full VEP Download option.

View Download Requests

1. Click Downloads in the Navigation Menu.

2. Select View Download Requests.

3. Optionally, use the date range query to find previous downloads by date.

4. Once the download has a Complete status, click the download icon by the download to export the date. If a Native Schema was selected, the name of the schema will display under the Options column.


Note: Once the download completes, an email is sent identifying the status of the download
