User management enables administrators to manage the users within their jurisdiction.

User Management Overview

1. Select User Management in the Admin menu on the left of the screen.

2. To view Active users, select the Active Users tab.

  1. Users can be edited by selecting the Delete or Edit icon in the Actions column.

3. To view pending users, select the Pending User tab.

  • A Pending user is a user who was sent an email to register their account but has not set it up yet.

  • Admins have the option to resend the invitation email or delete the pending user, preventing them from creating an account.

4. To view notification recipients, select the Notification Recipients tab.

  • A Notification Recipient is a contact displayed in the Observation Tool under Add Additional Email.

Note: When deleting the last Admin account from VEP, reassign the Admin role to either a new or existing user using the Reassigning Admin Role pop-up window.


5. To invite a user, select Invite User, fill out the form with applicable information, and then select Invite.

  • Usernames and passwords must be 6-128 characters and are case-sensitive.

Note: New users will receive an email to register their account. Submit a support ticket to invite the new user to the Support Center.

Notification Recipients

The Notification Recipients list displays any emails outside of VEP that can be notified when an Observation point is placed. 


1. Click the Notification Recipients tab to review users who can be notified when an Observation Point is placed.

2. Under that Action column, click the X to delete or the Pencil to edit an existing recipient.

3. Select Add Recipient to add new records. 

4. Fill out the form in the Add Recipient pop-up and click Add.
